So I'm looking for some truck tires for my brother. Now he lives up in the mountains and is able to get a certain tire at Walmart that is actually really good. The size that he told me he got wsa 31x10.5r15. Now his problem is that they only had two in stock and the people keep slacking about getting two more to the store. When I call any of the Walmarts down here in the front range, no one knows what I'm talking about. Now if I change the size I'm looking for to a 215x75r15 everyone can find the tire.

Here's the tire,

It's down at the very bottom of the ad.

Now my question is what's the difference in size standards? I've never had a truck so I've never had to order truck tires. Should these be a similar size tire that will work with the other two that he has?

Thanks for any help.

What kind of truck? Some people familiar with the model might automatically know.

215/75r15 has a rolling diameter of about 27.7", depending on the brand. That's alot smaller than a 31" diameter. A 265/75r15 would be similar, but I don't even think that size exist (if it does, they probably don't make alot). You definately want to match the tire size (especially if it is 4x4), so if they don't have 31x10.5 try 31x12.5, 30x9.5, 32x10.5. What are these going on, because the only one I know for sure would fit would be the 30x9.5 because it's smaller (hopefully these are really wide wheels). More info on the vehicle and wheels and I'm sure we can find you a tire size that will work. Wether or not they are on that walmart list is another story (your link didn't work for me). Discount tire will match prices from tirerack.com, so I'd check there to see what they have, then call Discount and see if they have them in stock and get them mounted there.

Link should work now, you can click on the link to the pdf to see the actual tire. Tires are going on a 95 Ford F-150 with stock rims.
