Hell yeah. All field people should have guns. I need a gun too, but just because the parking garage is scary. :(

holy shit lol i was telling my dad a week ago about i wounder if teachers are now going to get guns like pilots do.. im thinking bad idea, what if a teacher goes bizerk(sp) and pulls the gun out and is like "STFU and do what I say or im going to SHOOT you" cause when i was in HS man there was some kids that gave teachers some serious shit and i can totaly see that happening

Bimbo's and sluts won't even be able to use the "Is there anything I can do for extra credit?" Those teachers will use the guns to make it part of the curriculam

if teachers have guns then kids will just kill kids, instead of the way it's been the last week or two with adult nuts killing kids. 2 or 3 kids (esp highschool age) will just out muscle a teacher and bingo -- GUN.

also...teachers are like the 2nd most mentally unstable people, right after mailmen. You give a teacher a gun, and after 3 or 4 months of the smart ass kid who fights authority and/or makes jokes -- you gonna have yourself some ugliness. We already have trouble with teachers screwing the students... if "suck this or you get an F" is already enough, wtf is gonna say no to "suck this or i'll kill you" --

This is the dumbest shit I've read all day. You're not going to make anything safer by putting more guns in school, all you'll be doing is contributing to the fear that these shootings have created.

Obviously I don't think that every teacher will be issued a firearm. I don't think that the school districts should be responsible for issuing firearms. I do think that if a teacher is eligible for a CCW and is issued one, he/she should be allowed to carry on school grounds.

You're never going to completely weed out the whackos. Hell, normal people turn whacko every day. This will at least even out the odds if a school is overtaken by some shit bag who is bent on killing kids. As Weston stated, you will never get the guns out of the hands of the criminals. The only people that will turn guns in due to a ban or not carry in a no carry zone are the people that aren't a threat to begin with. It's the ones that don't obey laws that you have to worry about.

What about this idea, Give the teachers gun but the last rounds are actual lead rounds, the rest would be rubber ones. If it came to the teacher killing the person, that had more then a fair chance to stop. I think that should be for all guns out side of military use. At least the first one would not kill. Kids that found there daddys gun would not kill themself as offen too.
