On the VIS hood I got there are no pre drilled holes for the rubber seal. I drilled some of the spots but I am getting to close to the top. The space seems solid which means the pins wont work. I really want the seal cause I have somewhat of a small gap without it. Anyone have any experiece with this, really short tapping screws, epoxy what works? Thanks in advance!!

Have you tried using the OEM clips, or did you drill the holes too large?

Its hard to explain but the clips wont work because the place where the holes go are solid like a tunnel not a hole so there is no place for the end of the clips to expand to clip in.

Weird.. I see what you're saying though. Don't do this just yet, see what others suggest.. but what I think would work would be to get some sort of epoxy and just do "dots" in lengths equivilant to those of the OEM clips, if that makes sense?

Yeah it does make sense, bummer I really want that seal to work right. I thought it would be hollow once I got a ways in but its solid and seems not to have as a big of a gap from the underside to the top like the stock one.

most people use some kind of epoxy and glue it on there, i would do that, i plan on doing that with my cf hood. Use RTV Silicone.

i don't roll with mine but when it rains hard i get water in my distributor cap sometimes.... thats why i wanted to put mine on there. when i have more time i will try the rtv silicone route.
