A co-worker and a good friend of mine passed away in the hospital yesterday 10-1-06 after a tragic accident trying to race another car on the highway. The guys kept taunting him, talking shit and flipping him off...so of course he got pissed and went after them. It was my friend driving with his girlfriend in the passanger seat(another good friend/co-worker) and another guy in the back seat(yet another friend/co-worker). He lost control of the car and flipped it about 3 times. Got thrown out of the car along with his girlfriend and the other guy still trapped in the back seat. After the car came to a complete stop he got up and walked over to his girlfriend until the ambulance arrived. The guy in the back seat broke his leg and got stabbed by a piece of metal in his leg. My friend was pronounced dead at the hospital. The cause: a fractured skull/head trauma and internal bleeding. His girlfriend: unknown yet but pretty messed up. Just thought I might let you guys know...I know people are still gonna keep racing no matter what, just keep in mind those you might end up hurting in the end...
Sorry to hear about this. :( My condolences.

Where was this at? Early Sunday morning, around 2-3am, I got stuck in traffic on I-25 northbound from US-36 up to 84th Ave. Looked like 4-5 cars involved.

I saw that too, after we left the club. Looked nasty.

I'm not 100% sure what highway this was at but they were heading home from the club. It was around 1 or 2 early sunday morning.

That had to have been the one we passed on I-25. What kind of car(s)?

And yet another warning to those who are alive to not street race.
Just sad and sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear!
It's called a track. Atleast the ambulance is already there. Be smart people.
Sorry to hear. No matter how much people can say keep it on the track or whatever we all get caught up in it occasionally.
Were your friend and his girl wearing seatbelts? Was the one who walked to the girl the one that died? Sorry about the questions, just curious.
Always wear your seatbelts, assuming they weren't since they were thrown it could have helped.

They were driving a pearl white 96-98 Civic coupe, none of them were wearing seatbelts, yes the one that got up and walked to the girl passed away.

Horrible, I hate hearing about this stuff.
So where are the fuckers that they were trying to chase down -- they should be publicly beaten to a pulp by the entire scene.

They never found them, they think they left the scene.

Everyone likes to talk shit about roadricing. But I bet most all of us have done it at some point in our lives. This is just a damn good example of why it's fucking stupid.
