Albin's Performance on Pinks

Well as some know I've been working on a Prelude for Natalie since her Saturn got jacked. We've been pushing my friend Cecil and his brother to get the car in there and get the body work done and painted. Well I just found out why they kept telling me "give us a little more time we're almost ready for you".
I'm not sure why it was a big secret, but they've been building a car for Pinks. He just told me about 5 min. ago. They go to Topeka sometime in the next couple of weeks and he says the show will air in mid winter. The only thing he's really told me about the car is its a Vega. No year, no motor info. I think thats pretty cool though. They build great drag cars, and have done work on just about every car up at Bandi going faster than 9 seconds.

Cecils brother Harvey will be the driver, and he's pretty damned good.

Just thought I'd share.

It will have either a 383 or a 355 with Giggle gas on a plate w/ fogger
He figures they'll be running 9s give or take.

Imports generally suck on Pinks. Too often they end up breaking, or being slow and looking like whiners. I think this picture pretty well sums up the import scene on Pinks (Civic vs. T/A):

Heres how it breaks down as I was told.
Its them vs an orange Nova w/Yanko stripe

The Nova wins 2 rounds
Albin's win 1

Nova blows a head gasket and Byes round 4 to gain more time to fix the issue.

Race is now 2-2
Albins are on the line ready for final, Nova gets pushed up, doesn't start.

Cecil tells me that their compettitors were faster all motor. But in the end, better mechanics won out.

He wasn't able to get an official air date but was told sometime in January most likely. He's got some pictures and I'll try and get copies of them from him and get them posted up.
