Do you believe in them? Why? Do you believe in an after life? If so, whats your view of the afterlife? Any real-life experiences with either?

This may seem stupid to most, but I believe in the reincarnation theory. As soon as you die, you are reborn. Maybe a human, a wolf, an ant. Maybe what you do in this life will reflect what you are reborn as, or maybe its just random, or maybe we are all on a journey that is beyond our meager understanding. I just can't fathom the whole heaven and hell thing, those places would be getting pretty damn crowded by now. Not to offend any religion, its just my belief.

But as far as ghosts, I do believe that there is SOMETHING that connects this world with the supernatural. I have had a "ghost" experience, and it made me believe that there is truly more out there than just what we can see and touch.

I believe in afterlife, angels, etc. I believe I have family as my gaurdian angels. Just personal beliefs.. I've had a few experiences that have influenced these beliefs, though.

Thats cool man! Sometimes I wish I could believe, but life has worked out a little differently. But we are all blessed, whether we see it or not.

Mine is really cheesy, but.. I dunno.

Basically, I had an aunt that passed away when I was very young, and she was my favorite aunt. Well, I found myself praying to her often, and one day my ex and I's dog ran away. My ex loved the dog like you wouldn't believe; like her own child, and I KNEW she'd be CRUSHED if we couldn't find her. After searching for her for over an hour, and not finding her, I called and told her. She started balling, and I felt horrible. I went looking again, but this time I prayed to my aunt and asked her to please help me find Abby (the dog that was missing). Literally, no more than 10 seconds after I did that, I heard some very faint barking, and I followed the barking, and found our dog. Lucky timing? Help from above? I dunno.. I personally think it was my aunt. :)

I have a brother in law who is into that stuff and says he can read people etc... He used to work at a big company and he took pictures for catalogs. One night he came home and showed me a picture of a carpet/rug looking thing he took that day and it had a faded/face on it. He had another picture of it where he told me he had wiped off the carpet/rug and took another pic. Face was still there. Was it BS who knows. I kinda believe.

I don't even know where to begin... For whatever reason, I seem to be somewhat of a magnet for these things. I had some experiences in my childhood, but considered them hard to believe (since they were "impossible" and all), even though they were my own memories... part of me dismissed them as just being my imagination. Much of it stopped when we moved to Colorado, but there were still a few small weird things from time to time.

Then about 5 years ago, a friend took some of us out to this abandonned ranch house East of Aurora, somewhere off of Jewel, passed Gun Club Road... he told us some incredible story about being pinned up against the wall by an invisible force when he went inside last time, so he refused to walk up to the house this time. Of course, I considered this total BS... we walked up to the house on this long dirt path, and there were strange spooky noises surrounding us, but nothing incredible yet. We got up alongside the house and were shining our flashlights on the house, and every once in a while someone would catch a glimpse of something but no one else would see it. Then we all happened to put our flashlights on the same place and saw this "person" that appeared out of nowhere... it was like straight out of a ghost movie... there was no color to it whatsoever, it looked like it made out of fog, and it moved completely silently. We ran like hell back to the cars and never returned. I tried to find it several years later, but never did. I did find reports of paranormal groups going out there and reporting that it was a pretty evil place, so it's probably best that I didn't go back.

That, combined with childhood experiences, gave me enough curiousity to go "hunting" with Justin and others in places like Georgetown, Silvercliff, etc. We definately had our share of experiences at those places, which ended with the last incident at Georgetown. I don't have time right now to go into the "bicycle" portion of this story, but a lot of shit started happening, and much of involved little details that were a repeat of childhood memories. I mentioned a very small part of it to my mom because I remember her talking about similar experiences, and it turns out that she not only saw the exact same "shadow person" in our house back in California, but she saw it and other things in the house we were in before that one too. I remember having to switch bedrooms as a kid, but it wasn't until over 15 years later that I found out that it was because my mom felt some evil presence in that room, and that the reason we had to send our cat to live with my great grandmother was because it went crazy and started attacking us around the same time. My mom, aunt, and cousin have had their share of experiences, as well as several dreams with specific details that have come true.

I can't say that know the reason or meaning behind a lot of this stuff, but I can promise you that there is another realm in which intelligent beings exist, and that both good and evil exist there.

I don't believe in ghosts, or spirits, or what ever you want to call them. I do however believe there is much more to life than we are viewing on the surface. The odds of reality actually being what we are viewing just seems impossible to me, we take into account so many assumptions, main one being that 'this' is real. Is it really out of the question to think that we couldn't just be a thought or a dream?

i think that when you die your body, through osmosis, somehow absorbs salvia and you live another life on a salvia trip.

then when you die in that salvia life you absorb salvia in the halucination, im probably on my 350th salvia trip as we speak.

Your brain releases a shit load of DMT into your system when you are about to die. So if you are going to get hit by a truck, but all of a sudden your space ship flies down, and takes you to Pluto...yeah, you're probably fucked.

just a fun little fact I thought you should all know ;)

I believe in reincarnation....too many details of life experiences to say on one post here. But in general. we are just puppets in these bodies for spiritual experiences(pain, pleasure, love, betrayal, revenge and so forth)
I believe we have an induvidual purpose for being here(though modest or not)
even in some cases we might be living this life to cause some of the experiences for another person or people.
But if you want to read a book that completely opened my eyes to what I believe... then read "journey of souls" written by Michael Newton..
I was refered to that book when talking to an elderly lady and we went on the topic of religion.. She said this is the book for you..
I didnt get the book until 3 years after she told me,but I'm glad I did..
I believe in some sort of god,but in a different realm of the religious aspect.
I also believe Jesus Christ existed and was very evolved..We all have the same abilities. We just havent reached that level of spirital growth yet..

Yeah, that's something I should mention too... It's not a great idea to seek this stuff out. Ghost hunting is not just harmless entertainment, and there is some truth to the belief that these things can follow you. I don't know what Justin has going on with him, but I've had some "interesting" things occuring around me ever since our last trip to Georgetown. Nothing frightening, but enough to remind me that something's there. I don't know why, or if it's good or bad, but it's just way too many strange "coincidences" for me to completely ignore.

Weston.. Please pm me on the location of this Ghost town or whatever.. I'm curious to know about the poor spirits that are stuck here, when they are supposed to go home.so they can return for something new.I have seen and felt many ghost.. some very scary and some very docile.. This is one thing that gives me basis for my beliefs. I want to be less afraid of them if I can.

It's not a ghost town... it's the cemetary in Georgetown (in the mountains off of I-70), but I would advise you not to go there. For whatever reason, it's a very negative and hostile place. You wont find any answers there... just more problems and more questions. Silvercliff (kind of southwest of Colorado Springs) is plenty active and most people consider it non-hostile and even friendly. I've come to doubt that it's a good idea to seek this stuff out, but if I were to go out again, I would go somewhere neutral or positive like Silvercliff. Georgetown is just bad news.

I believe there is something else out there after death. I like to keep an open mind so I don't really believe one way. I had one freaky experience when I was younger though..

I was at a cousins house spending the night. My older cousins were picking on me so I went to the room and played nintendo. I heard crying in the next room so I thought they were picking on my other cousin. I went to her room and called out her name but she didn't reply. I turned the light on the crying stopped and there was no one there. I freaked out and ran downstairs.
I didn't want to go back to the front room though so I stood at the foot of the stairs and my cousin that was messing with me turned white when he saw me so I got up and walked over to them. Everyone in the front room was freaking out cause they said they just thought they saw me pass by a second ago. I told them about the crying in the room and we all stood in one room that night with crosses all over lol. Thats the only experience I have ever really had but thats fine with me.

This isnt a religious aspect or anything like it. there is no book on this stuff that says youll suffer some destructive fate if you dont believe in it.
This is just our personal feelings and experiences.

I think ghost are just people that dont know they are dead yet or got lost on the way back to the place spirts need to reincarnate.sometimes they refuse to accept the next level and get stuck here a long time. those are the mean, bitter ones.

Okay back to serious posting. Personaly after Georgetown I've always been fine and have only had some 'odd' things happen. One thing I'm sure of is I always get the feeling I'm not alone in my house. Some places you can go and you really do feel or sense you're the only one there, well in my house I always get the feeling something else is here. I remember once waking up in my bed to the covers being pulled down and off of my by the end of my bed and at first I didn't realize it and I just pulled them up. But right after that they started getting 'tugged' slowly back down. I pulled them up again and it didn't happen after that. But I disctinctly remember them getting tugged down. Another thing was I woke up once looking at my door to my bedroom and saw a woman walking toward me looking directly at me eye to eye and that did startle me a little bit. As soon as I sat up looking at her she then just vanished. I saw the same woman in my previous house I stayed at which was also kind of weird. That's where I woke up with her face right in front mine but I could only see her eyes and part of her nose, the rest was just note there. Weird stuff. I've heard some sounds here and there but nothing big. I then went and caused Simon's old house to get haunted after going over there and now he won't let me in his current house LOL. I've always seemed to always have things like this happening to me, even when I was growing up back in NM. I remember hearing somebody cough in my house and I was the only one there, that did happen and the room was completely empty when I checked. My brother also used to wake me up screaming his head off about seeing people in the windows and in his current house he used to get wacked up by 'people' banging on his windows. I believe that he is going thru something cause when I'd go to his house I wouldnt definately get a weird vibe. My grandfather also died in his house and in the room he died in my father heard somebody walking around one day in the room and at the time my brother was gone (he's the only one that lives in his house). He's also said he's seen a shadow figure in that part of the house before. Since i'm on the topic of shadow figures at the moment, my first real self experience with ghosts happened at Fairmount Cemetary. Me and my friend were walking the cemetary around 11:30pm and it was very dark but we had the benefit of having a near full moon so we could see around. We eventually did realize a shadow figure was following us around the cemetary and I saw it with my very own eyes and it was by far the most insane experience I've ever had. The figure was pitch black and stood out amongst the dark cemetary and he moved around like a normal person. We couldnt make out any features, just the pitch black silloute of a man w/ a english type short hat. It was really eerie to walk around the cemetary and watch him walk up behind us and around us as we were there. But the thing is we didn't feel any negativity towards us at all, more of a curiosity type feeling or a it's okay kinda thing. The flipside however could be said for Georgetown the last time we went as a group, I had a very negative feeling about the place, and I never stepped foot in there and even still after that I had some interesting stuff happen around. From my experiences I defiantely believe in an after life, at this time I'm not completely believing in heaven per sae, but I definately believe there is something after death and it's not necessarily the end. What I saw that night at Fairmount Cemetary was a person, he reacted to us intelligently and he also knew we were there as we could see him always looking at us directly where-ever in the cemetary we were. When we were at Silvercliff cemetary and the other cemetary that's right by there we did have some interesting things happend but I'm tired of typing for now...

Werd 12seccivy - growing up I tried to just put those odd experiences 'under the rug' and ignore them. But after Fairmount Cemetary my view on spirituality changed completely. It definately gave me a sense of relief though knowing I experienced something that allowed me to see that there's something after death *IMO. Sometimes I still get curious and want to go ghost hunting again, but right now I'm still in a cautious state of mind from good 'ol Georgetown. My friend I used to go ghost hunting with a lot said she was 'sensitive'. And at first I thought she was full of shit, but after going to cemetaries and her taking pictures and then all of a sudden she would try to take a picture but the camera flash would not go off, she would then ask, can I take your picture? and the camera flash went off and she got one. This happened numerous times and when she would ask nicely something would 'let' the camera take a picture. There's coincedence, and then there's whoa that way too much coincedence that it would be astronomical. I remember one time she told me that a little girl was holding onto her hand and right around the area where she said the little girl was it was damn cold and just in that spot. After taking a picture a lot of mist/fog was in the picture and it extended out to her hand. It was a crazy ass picture. I remember another picture she took at Fairmount cemetary of one of the grave sites on top of a small hill and you could see 3 distinct shadow figures standing there as if they were just talking. From going around ghost hunting I've kinda learn to just feel a place out and see if a vibe comes up from it. Everyone can pick up a vibe from some place, but if you go ghost hunting and you get a bad feeling/negative vibe, dont just chalk that up to BS, trust it and GTFO. Less you want to be on the receiving end of a bad mistake.
