Bandi Mustang 1/4 times...

I just wanted to get some times for all trim levels of new Mustangs, I'm looking for real world Bandimere times, preferably stock.
-V6(auto, 5speed)
-GT(auto, 5speed)
-Cobra

Also power specs on each motor would be nice(hp/torque), also the MSRP would help me a lot.
I'm an absolute Mustang novice and a friend is interested in buying one relatively soon.

my friend mike ran a 15.6 @ 89mph a couple times at PMI with his completely stock 02 Mustang GT. His 60ft was a 2.3, and Im sure he can get that lower but hes on the stock tires too and PMI sucks.

Approximate prices:

V6:

auto: $16k
manual: $14k

GT:

auto: $26k (loaded)
manual: $24k

'03 Cobra: $34k

There is no '02 Cobra, and all of them come with 6-speeds.

Now, for times:

I know of one V6 manual owner that's in the 17's....don't know any other V6 owners that have taken their car up to Bandimere.

A manual GT will run in the low 15's stock, about a second more for auto's...

And nobody has a new Cobra that I know of here in town. I've been reading multiple mid 12's out of them at sea-level, so I'd guess mid 13's up here.

The older Cobras, ('99, '01) were all manuals and ran in the mid 14's to low 15's.

Power wise:

'02 V6 is 200 HP
'02 GT is 260 HP
'99 Cobra is less than 320 HP
'01 Cobra IS 320 HP
'03 Cobra is 390 HP

Thats exactly what I needed to know. Out of curiosity do you know any dealers that offer any really good deals? My friend is hoping to have a few thousand dollars down, no trader in or anything. I'm going to assume the winner will be an automatic GT most likely.

Well the MSRP on an 02 GT might be $24000, but they have a $1500 cash back thing going. My friend told them to match that and he got it for $21000.

I've seen '02 GTs hit 15.2s and along with the pre 99 Cobras. The 94-98 GTs were stuck in the 16.3-5 range and the V6s are alone in the 17s. The '01 Cobras were good for high 14s but the new 390hp Cobra should be good for high 13s.

One word about the Cobra;I've read about 12.8s on street tires which to me isn't all that impressive when you consider that a WS6 Firebird is only a few tenths slower with 50 less ponies and no FI. Imagine if Chevy put a blower on their LS1. :eek:

They choose not to use her commercial because she couldn't say it all the way through without messing it up. During one of the shots, she actually said, "...Fuck, sorry I have a bad hang over from last night..."
