I thought I would ask you, seeing that you own a Pontiac as well, and yours came with a lot of HP to begin with ;) , but is there much I can do to make my Sunfire run 13's or better? :confused: I still have everything stock and I'm not sure if I want to keep the Sunfire or save up to buy something new. Just looking for some insight and hopefully answers...

Well, Im not SC-MECHAM-WS6, but Ill give it a shot. You can make anything fast if you have the money. Im thinking that there probably is not much of an after market out there for the Cavalier/Sunfire, but Im sure there is some. 13s is a tall order, so I think you should look into a turbo. I know a guy who played with his Cav, so Ill try to remember to ask him for you. Hope that helped.

I'm not even sure if Earnest knows what a Sunfire is. ;)

13s up here is quite a tall order for any 4 banger that starts out naturally aspirated and I'd look into a turbo kit or see if any body has a supercharger kit out for your motor. I'd shoot for 14s as that would be more realistic without rebuilding the motor.

I assume you have the 2.2? If it has the 2.4 theres a S/C available from GM Performance. Its an Eaton blower, can't remeber which on though. I saw it last night when I was flipping through the '02 catalog, it may be worth taking a look at. I won't get you in the 13's stock but its a starting point. There also may be more stuff in there for you car I didn't have a chance to look. Oh btw there may be one for the 2.2, stop by a GM dealer and flip through the catalog to see what they have.
