So, its a good legit hydro LS tranny with no problem but a 2->3 grind?

Might have a bad shift fork, too.. haven't taken it apart because I don't want to deal with it. When I pulled it, 4th gear was locked out, which is why I'm thinking shift fork.

Well, it's not a 6 speed, so 4 other gears are fine.... lol.

Well, 3 forks, 2 gears per fork... so 1 2 3 4 and R right? :) You can get into 3rd and its fine, just 4th is the problem?

Correct; but it could use a new synchro set. Like I said, 3rd grinds at high rpm's.
