No not really ... its just that I didn't run any better time down there than I did at Bandi... but it IS CHEAPER :).
My best 60' of the night was coupled with my best run... go figure:
60' - 1.91
1/4 - 13.4
mph - 100.1
I almost hit 101 trap speed on the last run but I only had a 2.09 60' so my time was only a 13.5 :(. OH well... time to put in the lightened flywheel pretty soon to see if I can eek out a 1-2mph out?! Hey I can dream right ;) [heh].
Cheers
OH But the good news is the fastest of the supercharged mercedes that I went with ALL got beat by me... :). I think the closest one was the CLK430 = 430hp. He ran a 14.4 @ 99mph with a 2.3 60'. But it was all in good fun :).

Honestly... and this is the oh-so-accurate butt dyno talking here :). But on the way down there I got a CEL for 0420 catalyst inefficiency. So I figured I would leave it since I didn't want to reset the ECU and wipe out the learned timing curves etc... BUT I reset the ECU yesterday and I "swear" the car feels a little stronger.
So on the notion I plan on going down this next Friday :). Just to see if there is anything too it.
Oh btw I was never told to put a helmet on and I ran about 3 13 second passes so [shrug]. I got mixed stories from different people that worked there. Some said it's 12.99 and faster and other said its 13.99 and faster that requires a helmet. Speaking of which when do you want me to drop yours off? Or are you going to be any night this week?

Aren't times at Bandimere generally faster even though it's higher elevation? Just something about track condition etc? People always tell me not to expect faster times there...

I think that might be true if you have a 2wd vehicle... but I don't think it matters as much when you have a AWD car ;).
Jay - I will call you tonight then.

I run about 2-3 thousands faster at Bandimere than at PMI. No clue why, even with the lower elevation, and the car hooks just as poorly at both tracks.

I ran almost 5 tenths faster at bandimere than PMI because the track was so shitty when I went. You can't run in the groove, and the staging lanes are a joke. I've never had to use the e-brake in the staging lanes to keep from rolling before that shit hole of a track.
