Well I feel pretty good about riding the bike now. I lean into my turns and use both breaks and everything. I am thinking of just riding it through teh winter and I was wonering what I should look out for. It can be snowing just not a build up on the ground. I know I will want you use my back break more then the front. What else should I do?

It is spelled brake.

I'd honestly say if it is snowing, don't ride, even if it isn't building up that doesn't mean it won't while you are out. Rain is bad enough. Lucky for you it really doesn't snow a lot of days in the city.

I rode my F3 a lot of winter days in college, but I didn't have to go far, and I wouldn't have ridden if I did because it gets cold as hell. Get some good winter gloves.

Is it actually in riding condition? I thought it was all busted up.

Isnt it actually expected for tonnerre to want to try and ride a bike thru winter? Watch out for the slush flying into your face when the snow starts to melt.

you shouldnt be using "both" brakes all the time. The front should be your primary. hittin the rear brake too hard on turns will make you slide out. There is a good article on cycleworld about all this. you should really look into it.

wow you lean into turns, you must be a pro... just fucking with you...

i had a coworker that use to ride his motorcycle all the time in the winter... he worked nights for me and i think he only needed a ride home like 2 times... with colorado weather, the suns is out melting the snow within 24 hours anyway... i'd say go for it!

its not the snow you need to worry about, it's the damn gravel and sand

Trade it for a sweet Integra or something.

put a lot of little lag bolts in the tires from the inside out for more grip on the ice.

shit its not safe to ride in any condition other then dry... not to say that you cant ride safely but its the other people and your reaction in slick surfaces

Just make sure you know your capabilities and the capabilities of your bike. And use some common sense

Lol... you see, that is Tonnerre's problem right there... common sense. Tonnerre doesnt posses common sense.

Watch out for sand and ice. I hope you have insurance for your trip to the hospital.

When are you going to repaint your bike? Not that it needs it or anything, but think about it.

You are going to either get hurt badly or die. You do NOT want to go thru the winter w/o a cage.

You couldn't handle your bike on dry roads, how do you expect to fair on icey ones?
