Indeed, the five states with the highest obesity rates -- Mississippi, Alabama, West Virginia, Louisiana and Kentucky -- exhibit much higher rates of poverty than the national norm.

uhhh... wtf ?? where do they get money to buy food to get fat??

EDIT: +1 for HAI weight loss program; way to be pro-active fellas!

We're talking about the south east, they find it on the side of the road and eat it raw.

I think they batter and deep fry it first.

Wow, if Colorado is the thinnest in the country, this country is in pretty horrible shape. I don't really believe it though... when we moved here from southern California, we noticed a lot more fat people here.

Actually, if you have a diet of just squirrels, you'll starve to death.

How so?

Well, I don't exactly have the documentation to back it up. I remember being in a history class at some time during my school career and the prof telling us about a journal of an explorer that was discovered. He was by himself and wrote in his journal that he was eating only squirrels. He lost all his energy and a bunch of weight and apparently starved to death. I guess squirrel meat is supposedly too lean and doesn't provide the proper nutrients to live off of.

Again, I've got nothing to back this up so it's total hersey.

Eating one thing of anything will kill you. Our bodies needs a diverse diet. Infact our ancestors lived because they ate everything that looks edible.

I went like a month on nothing but chipotle, maybe if that frontiers man ate that he wouldn't be so dead right now.

Chipotle have beans and rice and meat and shit. It would be a pretty decent meal if it was 1/3 the size.
