today must have been the slowest day at work ever. I was like a little kid on christmas eve Just waiting to open presents the next morning. I installed the chip as soon as i got off and took it for a spin. 1st gear is moderately faster, but second and up is where you really feel it. It pulls hard through 2nd and 3rd, and this is only in the 91 octane program. the dv is louder as well and sounds real nice. I cant wait till I can use the race program:eek:

Congrats on the chip!!! I told you once you hit second its a kick in the pants. You still planning on going up to co springs on fri or saturday to put the motor mounts in? Turbo is alto louder with the dorito isn't it?

I just got my suspension and chip done a few minutes ago. The chip had me worried because the car wouldn't start at first, but all is well. Now I need to go out and drive that sucker......

You put your chip in and you have not driven it yet? Are you crazy? Go out and get in your car and don't come back for about 45 minutes and tell everyone how much you like your gti more than your si:)

Hows the drop look? How long did the front springs take? Can you post some pics?

Man the car feels GREAT!!! I couldn't get a clear enough area to get it into third gear, but second feels great. You can definetly tell a difference when you switch to the stock program.....

My mounts should be in tomorrow. What do you say we plan to put them in at 3-4ish on saturday. I'll be off work around 1:00 and it takes like an hour to get to the springs right?

I got a chance to get on it really good a couple times today:eek: 3rd pulls hard. stupid APR is gonna make me buy new tires every other month. I took a co-worker to lunch today and i think i scared the crap out of him when i got on it. he grabbed teh oh sh*t handle and held on tight.:rofl: I took rico for a ride after work also.

Yeah I got on it a few times last night and was breaking traction in the middle of second gear. I got a few third gear highway pulls. Geez the car pulls so much harder i nthe upper gears. Money well spent IMO.

I agree. Once you get the air out faster with dp and exhaust you will feel another huge dif. Especialy down pipe(sounds ten times as beefy!!!)

I'm debating on a 3 inch dp or a 2.5 inch. Probable 3 inch to lower my egt's a bit plus this turbo could use some breathing room. I don't need emissions for 4 more years so no need for a cat either ;). Whats a good fairly inexpensive dp/test pipe choice?

Get the atp three inch down pipe. dp with race pipe is only 190. It droped my 1/4 by almost 4 tenths of a sec.

I got mine ordered by the guy with the jetta that works at mcdonald(the one i told you about with the bigggg turbo) The regular price is like 240:(

Its easy to install though:)

no the car aint fixed, got all new mounts comin with a new intake tube for the charger(its a newer redisigned one,yey) and I am pretty sure i got a tube off at the intecooler(huge boost leak). Hopefully I'll get the stuff by friday. Still not sure what to do with the car, takin it one step at a time for now.
