Yea, so now I want one really bad! It was the Habanero Red, and it was the sickest color that I have seen on them! I think Im gonna have to get one of those for my graduation present!!! But the gayest thing they were doin was marking it up $3000 just because it was a "limited production vehicle". Isnt that why the price is higher than the EX or LX model??? Anyways, besides conrad, who all has one? and have you had any problems or complaints about them?

fuck markups... find a dealer that doesn't do markups and work with them...

seriously! I would never pay sticker much less one with dealer markup added.

i wanted to buy one when they had first come out but they gave me the same BS. $30,000+ and you had to BID on it. thats right, BID. supposedly the bid was basically the down payment from what i understood. so say you lay down $6k, if someone offered $7k, it was now theirs. and THE worst part of it all, was that you got whatever they had gotten from the factory with the options it came with. you cant choose the personality of your car is what he told me. if you wanted black (like i did) and you got like a canary yellow, tough shit, its yours. i got pissed and sed screw you (to the dude) and said im not automatically paying an extra $6k to buy the damn thing so i stormed off.

i got mine below stickers.. only a few hundred.. I made them pay for me to fly to Omaha to get it.

To get one be patient. go to the honda site put in the zip and start calling I went through 50 or so dealers before I found one, and i couldnt be too picky on the color. They are preselling 07s so that is what i would do if I were you.
Put a deposit on one at MSRP. You wont find one that is more than 500 dollars off.

Yea, I wont even buy a new car! By the time i could afford one, they will be all over used car lots or for sale message boards!

i work at Earnhardt honda down here in PHX as a lot attendant (read:lot bitch) and get to drive them pretty regularly. they are sick for sure. i really like the way the suspension is set up. its pretty firm, but still seems really drivable everyday.

I have a buddy that used to work at the same dealership that I did, and now he works at a Chevy dealer, and he said I could come in and test drive a Cobalt SS/SC which would be a fun car too!

When compared to the civic SI performance wise... yes, styling... after getting a good look at conrads SI, i have to give it to the civic, well... as far as interior styling go, i like them equally on the exterior styling :) they both have thier strong points.

If you are going to get a cobalt SS then i would wait untill 2008 when they offer them with the 260hp and 260ft/lb Turbocharged 2.0 Ecotec that is in the Sky Redline.

For you, yes. For the family guy who still wants to have fun in his car even though he's married and has kids, your wrong.

You need to learn how to spell.

And don't tell me I'm wrong. There is no right or wrong here; it's merely my opinion. The Si has never came in a sedan model, nor do I feel it ever should.

I see one spelling error. Your instead of you're. Which, technically, is not a spelling error, it's a grammatical error.

I understand it is your opinion. Hence, I said:

For you, yes.
But to say, in general, that the concept of a four door Si is a bad idea is to assume that everybody has the same opinion you have. There is no Si "heritage" to follow as far as Honda is concerned. There is the path of profit.

I never fucking said EVERYONE has the same opinion as me. Learn how to read.

I like the 4 door si model. It has its compromises (weight), but for someone like me with a couple of kidlets, i'll give it a second look.

Calm down m@!

Every new Civic makes that compromise....almost 2900 fucking lbs for a compact?

All cars are weighing more and more these days. Take a look at late 80's 90's models and then they're current counterpart. They are also getting way more power, 250 hp in a family altima anyone? Or 240 with a 6spd in accord?

I know, it just makes me angry, lol.
And it's supposedly such a big challenge to bring up the average fuel economy....

Lol, no shit! Its funny that these hybrids are starting to approach the gas mileage of my 88 civic 1.5 liter. Here's a hint, I'm not a genius or anything, but put smaller motors in it, and try to keep the weight down. Oh wait, thats so 80's.
Simplicity is out.
Overcomplication for a world of stupid people is in.

Indeed, cars are getting more powerful. Hell, you can buy a car that will run 11's (possibly 10's depending on how good a driver you are ;)) out of the box, with no modifications done, for a mere $80k or so (new Z06). There's so much competition between manufacturers to have the better car, the most power for their class, and so on, it will never end.

You're wrong there. Any civic can be had for less than sticker, it is just dumb people that enable dealers to mark up the cars and get away with it. When I got my Si in 2000 they were marked up over sticker price, but i shopped around and got it for less than sticker price. You guys act like your dealing with a ferrari or something.

You're car is also a lot more dangerous and fatal in an accident, ever consider the fact that safety has improved on newer cars? It's a trade off, weight/economy for safety.

Yes, I am fully aware of it. But not nearly all the weight is attributed to safety. There is alot of creature comforts, amenities, padding, larger rims, and more. And, if you noticed, cars are much larger than they once were. Larger cars weigh more.

Maybe if you want to fly to Nebraska or something. In Denver you WILL NOT get a discount on an Si.
