I'm a bit of a movie fanatic, I try to watch a new movie every week at the theatres and always keeping a eye out for lesser known gems. But man I have to admite Korea is really kicking ass in the movie making buisness! They're making movies that Hollywood can only dream about making, which is good cause Hollywood has really gone down the crapper.

Anyways I just thought I share a few good movies with ya'll.

Not exactly sure I picked this movie up. But whatever the reason was, I'm glad I did. This movie is one of my all time favorites, deffiantly in my top 3. Basicly it's about 2 young girls who, after returning from a crazy house, live with their father in a house that holds a terrible secret. This movie isnt a shock fest, it's more of a mystery thriller. Deffiantly a movie you'll have to think about to truly understand the events.

Now this movie is damn good. I mean so good that once you watch it, you'll want to show all your friends good. A man being imprisoned for 15 years, and the one thing that's on his mind is vengeance! A movie about vengeance and nonthing more, but to keep it intereasting it also have some twist and turns. 1 thing I love about this movie is some of the uniqe camera angles, probably the most famous on in this movie is the '2D side scroller' fight scene. Do yourself a favor and watch it!

A Japanese film, and it shows through the sheer amount of violence in this movie. I mean brutal rape, murders, torture, eyes getting ripped out, and all sorts of splatterfest stuff! Honestly I dont really know what this film is about other then being a splatterfest.....but it's one of the best spalletfest movie out there, and to top it off there's alot of black humor in this film. Not something you'll want to show to your family.

I think 3 is good for now, unfortunately for Ichi the Killer I can only find it on ebay. The other movies did have a domestic release, and there's always the 'easy' way of getting these films if you just want to 'rent' em.

Most of these are pretty old but great films if you like asain film try some newer titles that are great. All Takashi Miike films are good (he made Ichi) if you liked Ichi try Audition that was a great horror film. Also Ichi does have a domestic Release some Blockbusters carry it also some higher end media places. My uncles shop on fed sells all these films its called the modern boutique. I also love asain film mostly HK but some JP and very few Korean.

Here are some I would reccomend:
Eye & Eye2
Cashern
Dragon Tiger Gate
Seven Swords
Chinese tall Tale
The Promise
Infernal Affairs
Tetsuo Iron Man (Takahashi Miike)
Audition (Takahashi Miike)
Deadly Outlaw Rekka (Takahashi Miike)
Battle Royal 1 & 2
Zatoichi Blind Swordsman
Election 1 &2
Legend of Speed
SPL
King of Beggars (old school kung Fu Comedy)

I could on and on but this is what sticks up right now.

If you like Takahashi Miike films, I have "Visitor Q" for sale. It's too disturbing to watch. $12

Anyways, anything from Akira Kurosawa is classic. Nothing like a good old samuruai film with story lines that rival movies like "The God Father". A lot of those japanese samurai video games have characters based on his film characters. Some of his good films.
"Dreams"
"Seven Samurai"
"Yojimbo"

Akira Kurasawa is the shit. Alot of Westerns were takin pretty much exactly from his stuff, replace swords with six-shooters, samurai and ronin with cowboys and outlaws...bada bing.

I've seen audition.....you know other then the fact that it went from 'WTF is this gay shit' to 'WTF is this fuck up shit' in about .3333 seconds, I didnt like it too much.

Battle Royale 1 was awesome, 2 was....nah.

The rest of those films I'm gonna have to check out.

And no film is too disturbing. Even the Guinea Pig series didnt do much for me.

If you want it, you can take it. I suggest you not let your girlfriend/wife watch it with you. Contents include incest, necrophilia, drugs, violence, prostitution, S&M, murder, rape.... You name it, it has it. The daughter is hot, but she is as screwed up as the rest of the family.

Even the Guinea Pig series didnt do much for me.

I was going to buy that series. I haven't seen any of the films from it though. I heard it was really gruesome.
