my POS '92 tercel

i got a 1992 toyota tercel 4 door sedan :frown: and im having 2 small issues with it (only problems weve had withh it since we bought back in '92). the first thing is that when i start my car on a cold morning it usually lets out a very annoying high pitched sound that wont go away unless i accelerate. then it comes back if i turn the heat on and go above about 30 mph and its LOUD as all hell and i can tell other ppl hear it because i get looks from ppl like my car is about to explode (possible timing belt issue?). secondly, my a/c just went out a while back but it works basically when it wants to. i hit the a/c button and turn it to the coldest setting and usually ittl work for about 10 minutes then the a/c button flashes on and off and it blows warm air after that. if anyone could give me a suggestion or two it would be greatly appreciated. just a newbie trying to get by.

turd sell is funny, my parents call them that and so does everyone else.

if you go over to TO and look around, they have serious potential, they were looked over while the civics whored the market, there is still alot of stuff available for tercels and paseos, you just have to buy the stuff for the turbo starlet, which is how we get a factory turbo swap, and what makes that mere 135hp out of that swap feel really quick is the torque and the fact that it weighs 400lbs less than a civic.

they are really neat little cars, easy to modify, unrealized by others, i personally have a 4age 20v getting worked over really good im dropping into mine, while i daily drive the paseo (same chassis family)
