Would still be illegal under Federal law, but this would vastly cut down on the amount of arrests made in Colorado for possession.

What would this mean, then? It's still illegal to grow or sell any. How are you supposed to legally aquire any? It also states that individual cities may still fine and/or penalize you for posession. I suppose it's a start, because I firmly believe it's far safer than alcohol.

It's a step towards complete legalization, and also lets police drug departments focus on stopping harder drugs and drug dealers. If this passes you can be sure that several attempts will be made across the state to legalize it at a county level as well (like Denver did last year), and it would only be illegal on a federal level at that point (which is pretty lax and hard to get tried under)

not sure, but this one hasn't been revoked. After posting this I looked around a little more and on NORML's website it says that it WILL be on Novembers ballot.

the state will just charge you under federal law so you will still get busted.....

correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't federal agents the only ones that can do that? I really doubt they would waste their time with something like this.

The feds don't pay our police,we do and they will follow Colorado law first since think of all the paperwork they will save.

This is the first time it'll truly be on the November ballot so you stoners better register and actually vote or it'll be like "I went to vote but I got high".

I honestly don't think it'll pass this time but it's a start.

I'm sure they will, because god knows once it's legalized all the smelly hippy stoners will just do harder drugs, or worse, sit on Pete's Couch for 11 hours.
