I'm thinking about participating in the SCCA autocross on Sun, Jun 30th at Coors Field, but I've never been to one before... First of all, what should I do to prepare? Any tips or tricks you'd like to share?

I also need to know what class I'm in... I have a 1997 Acura Integra LS and the following performance setup: short ram intake (and seperate crankcase breather filter), DC 4-2-1 header, Type-R cat-back exhaust, short throw shifter, front & rear strut tower bars, P195/60R14 DOT approved tires, and Type-R spoiler.

I'd also like to go to Second Creek sometime. Anyone know when it's open, how much is costs, and what I'd need to do to run out there? Any tips or tricks for this track?

the SCCA site should have a break down of what mods are allowed per class. it sounds like you should be running street stock class.

don't forget to pre-register.

Check out http://www.rmsolo.org for more information. What specifically do you want to know? What to bring? What to expect? I just went to the driving school they held last saturday, so I might be able to shed some light on things.

You'll be running street prep, just like I had to. The header and the exhaust put you over, shitty huh? I recommend running on whatever tires you run on the street unless you have a set of 140 to 220 tread wear tires on aome 15's. I swapped wheels the day of the race and the handling was soo wierd that I was pushing in every corner. Better to stay with what yer familiar with I think.

Hey, thanks for bumping this thread and showing us all how horribly insecure you are, once again. So, 5 years ago I was a noob, then I put in the time and effort to get some experience over the years, and now I race wheel-to-wheel... I fail to see how bringing that up is supposed to hurt my feelings. How exactly is having "only" 5 years of experience supposed to be an insult to me, especially when you have none yourself? Way to be a poser.

I don't know what is lamer, conrad trying to hurt your feelings, or you responding trying to make it seem like you're feelings aren't hurt.

You're right. I've said what I needed to say, and I shouldn't continue to waste my time by trying to reason with people who can't handle it. That was my mistake.
