I got the laser running yesterday after about a month of it being down. I had a machine shop remove the vavles cause i couldnt get any tool in there to get them out. They said that 5 of the 8 intake were slightly bent, but the guides were still good. I had all 8 valves to replace them so they are all new.
The first time i tried to start it the engine just cranked smoothly....NOT a good thing. It spun with absolutely no compression. I instantly knew that i forgot to make sure both the dowel pins were up, and i just lined up 2 marks. The cams were 180 degrees off. I pulled it apart again and fixed it.
Started up like a champ. :D
I brought it home and the first thing i did was put on my Oz F1s that i got for $300 with tires. It totally changed the look of my car for the better. Ill post some before and after pics in a bit.
