the other day I came across a car for sale.
it was a 80' 280 turbo in 'mint' condition.
it was dark grey with leather that looked like it had never been sat in. there was no price on the car and the owner was nowhere around to ask about the car.
I wrote down the phone # and Im going to call on it this afternoon, if its afforable I will try and pull some strings and take it home.
anyone know what one of these in that type of condition could be had for?
I really want this car but they probably want like 1 million dollars for it...:(

I love the old 240z body style the most. If i ever get a garage to do it in im gonna rebuild one.

280zx's are starting to have collector's value. I have seen ultra low mileage "show" cars going for $12--15k. More realistically, nice 280 turbo's can be priced from $2-6k.

I had an 1982 280zx myself. Greatest car I ever owned. Fantastic engine, and bulletproof drivetrain.

If you do look at the car, check it CAREFULLY for rust. The floors, frame rails and well, everything on the car is prone to rusting out. It can look great on the outside, but be rotted out.

The turbo model of ZX didn't come out until '81. It would be interesting if it was a custom install - nothing wrong with that, except the installer may have cut corners, just something to watch out for.
