Waher Not Working - Any Ideas?

Just bought a used washer from someone on Craigslist. Quick question: I ran a test cycle (no clothes) last night, and it worked. Filled with water, rinsed, and then drained.

Today I started a load, it filled and started to rinse. I left the lid open cuz I had to grab detergent from my storage. I stopped the load, made it rinse/spin, and then started it again. It won't fill up now. It'll fill up anywhere from 2-6", but then it just drains it right out randomly, and then it'll somewhat fill again (maybe 1-2" at most) and just do this. Wasted my f-in water.

I've reset the breaker, I've had it unplug for a couple minutes, I've tried to complete the cycle and restart it several times. Different load sizes, different water temps, no such luck.

Any ideas at all would be awesome.

well it could be the lid switch, or your fill tube. Does it fill all the way with the lid up? If you want some good advice call Appliance Factory parts. 303 761 1111 ask for brian or chris. Drain valve stuck open?

I don't think the drain valve would be open, because then it would never fill period.

As an update:

I pulled the drain hose out, because I had it stuffed pretty deep in. It filled and is almost done with the complete cycle right now. I don't know if it was coincidence or what. I am going to run another load of laundry and see what happens.

yah could of just been clogged, rare but it does happen. good luck
