Well I found out whwere it was located a little faster than I had wanted lol..... I was taking a couple people for test drives last night. I got on boost and I hear.. PHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! and the car drops off in power real quick. I figured I blew off one of teh lines to something turbo related. After gazing under the hood for a good 20 minutes I found the dump valve hose disconnected under the plastic shrouding of the engine. I just went ahead and replaced the crimp they use with a hose clamp so it shouldn't be a problem again :D
Dump valve? As in wastegate? Blowoff?

It's a blow off valve, but they don't call it that for some reason. The car sounded super cool when the hose blew off, but there was NO power...lol

heard that for the 02 1.8t they switched to the Audi TT DV and that it should last a little longer than the stock one.
Pretty much i was told that it would be best to keep it till it went cause they dont know if its better.

Hmm Yeah I guess that was one of my next questions. I know the 01 gti's DV leaked as low as 3 psi of boost. I'm wondering if I should just get a new one. That and it would sound cool ;)
