Probably a repost, but this is a Viper -w- a twin-turbo Chevy engine, among other goodies, supposed to be making about 1000 HP. I saw it in a One Lap of America article. It's a street car:

Doesn't a Viper already have a huge engine that they could make a lot of power with?

Can you not see that the valve covers are stock viper valve covers? That is no Chevy engine! They are way too long for a V-8. I'm also a faggot.
How's that for some editing? ~Stu

The valve covers may say Viper on them, but that doesnt appear to be a Viper motor. I would tend to believe Roger anyway......

94 Viper roadster, but not much of it was retained as the project went forward. When the finished car emerged from Adee’s Valley Tool and Mold shops in Gilberts, Illinois, it had a tube-frame steel chassis, carbon-Kevlar coupe bodywork, an inboard suspension, and a heretical touch: a twin-turbo, intercooled 6.3-liter aluminum Brodix V-8 under the hood. Adee admitted to 840 horsepower at the rear wheels and pegged the car’s ready-to-go weight at “about 2700 pounds.” Formidable is too tame a word.

Fucking oxygen thief:rolleyes:
Quote from Car & Driver in their One Lap coverage:
"But Adee’s previous efforts were mere warm-ups for his 2006 creation. The starting point was a ’94 Viper roadster, but not much of it was retained as the project went forward. They must be mistaken though, because it's impossible to fabricate something as complicated as a valve cover.

A brodix V8 isnt exactly a production GM motor. But its closer to a SBC than a viper V10 is. Probably more reliable and easier to get parts and tuning for. Sweet car, I would rock it.
Edit* the aluminum V8 is shorter so it was probably easier to stuff it further back in the chassis for better weight balance, also I would guess the v8 is probably about 100 lbs lighter than the v10 easily.
