Got a B21A1 bottom end for free and then I found out why! Well it was also at my friends house for like a year so his dad wanted it gone asap.
Guess how much of the timing belt is wrapped in there?

Yes the whole thing! Don't ask how this happened. I don't want to know myself!

More at our other site. 22 horrific pictures in all! More to come when I build this beast.

You got it for free because it's the crappy 2.1L Prelude motor, not because of the damage. :D

This would definitely be the first B21 build up I have ever heard of...

Ive heard of them being built. All the project cars that I have seen though ended in tears.

I just want to build it because the guy who owned it is an ass hole that thinks it can't be done, just because he can't find parts. Not that it's going to cost a lot. $300 for a new complete head, $100 for all the gaskets and bearings and $20 for the ring. I got the machine shop so all that's free. Then we'll see what happens. Not doing a big build like mine. That's not worth it!!

nope.
While it doesn't bolt on, I know of severely people who have run b16a heads. I am not saying it was easy, or cheap, but it's been done before. :)

What do you plan on putting it in? It will only go into a 1988-1991 Prelude Si, and nothing else at all.
I bet we could make it fit in my Prelude... even though it's an '86.

It would be nearly as difficult as swapping in an h22a. The only difference would be the VTEC wiring. Mounts, shift linkage, etc. will be different. It would take just as much fabrication as dropping an h22a in.

Screwdriver, duct tape, and a chicken... we'd make that fucker fit.

Even though my motor is a b-series? I figured being b-series, it's swap right over.

 With the chicken it would beat M@'s car in the 1/4 mile!!
Well that's gay.
We can make it fit with some work but yes not fitting right off the bat is gay. I need someone to buy this from me for 1k like M@ and his lude! Not like it costs a lot to fix anyways.
