Ok, i purchased a 93 civic from a friend in march, which had about 86,xxx on it. As far as i know, it is a clean title, and has only been repainted.

Now the problems i am facing.
The passenger door jamb is extremely loose. Whenever i wash it or drive in rain, water doesnt just drip in, it pours....also with the door, it doesnt lock or unlock from the inside anymore. i have to turn off my car, unlock the door with the key, then go back in my car and open it from the inside...Is there any DIY fixes for these problems?

Also, something squeals pretty loud when im downshifting (the clutch i would assume)....anyone have ideas on what it could be? I want to start tuning asap, but i want to get these problems taken care of first.

I dunno about the door but for the lock the thumb thing is probably busted, happens all the time. They aren't hard to replace but they are hard to find.

When during the downshift? Clutch in/out, moving shifter?

when moving from say, 4th to 3rd, it will squeal until i let the clutch out most the way.

Could be the throw out bearing.
