IMPOSSIBLE CEL problem!

ok i recently had a mini mi swap (d8/y8). everything went great except when i drove it around with the new ECU (p08) the car had some problems. as soon as it cranked over the car would die, unless i gave it a little gas. and i would have to give continuoes gas until the car headed and it was fine after it was warm (idling problem.) at first i thought it was because i hadnt had the vtec hooked up yet. then i thought it was the o2 sensor since i was still using one wire sensor. so this weekend i hooked up the vtec (hopefully i did it right) and started the car and drove around for a little bit. i dunno if it was my imagination but i can feel the vtec kick in even though its sohc. but the problem was still there. so i changed the o2 sensor (again, hopefully i did it right) and still nothing changed. the car still has problem idling and it dies unless i feed some gas for few minutes. and the whole time im using my p08 there is a CEL. and the thing that pisses me off is that i was trying to check the code of the CEL by jumpering those two wires but the freaking CEL ONLY comes on when the engine is running. i turned the key into on position and the CEL goes away and comes back when i crank the engine. i tried to kill the car by taking the clutch out when its in 1st gear. and that made it so that the CEL stayed on while the key was in ON position and then tried to jumper the wires but nothing! the stupid CEL does not blink and its pissing the hell out of me. im gonna take to a honda dealer this weekend but until then any ideas on wtf is causing this stupid CEL!? thanks

ok, so install the jumper wire, then start your car and drive it untill the cel starts flashing. its ok to have the wire in there while you drive.

need to know what the cel is to start diagnosing it.

first off this site is pretty much dead! about 40 views and 1 reply. come on!
second, i did that and still nothing. and i tried every combination possible of turning the key on or starting the car and jumpering the wires, and still nothing! i heard from Honda tech that my ecu, (p08) since its a jdm it doesnt come with a on board diagnostics tests, its only in usdms. is this true?

To be honest;The info you have given isnt helping much...and usually something that entails the problems you are having requires someone to look/drive and exerience the problem to fix it..
no telepathy/claravoiance will help you here.
so everyone is viewing the problem,but not sure how to help w/o meeting up and driving... basically you need an experienced technician to help you.. and those dont come very cheap...

well i posted on different websites like honda tech and got plenty of replies, i just wanted to know people thought of it on here.
but for an update for the car. can a bad throttle gasket cause this problem? cuz i retightened the throttle bolts, and that somewhat fixed the problem of dying after starting up. still idlis funny and has the CEL problem.
any thoughts?
btw 12seccivy and to everyone else: im not asking u to fix my car, im just asking for an opinion from people. if that wasnt clear before, my apolligies.
