my brand new rsx type S shitted on me!!!

i picked up my rsx last thursday and dropped it at the dealership in denver on saturday. it sputtered real bad at idle. so i picked it up on wednesday. and it was ok for about 80 miles. then it sputtered a little at idle. and of course both times with check engine lights. now the shop said it was a valve over tightened at the factory. so now i got it 10x as bad as it was. sounds like 2 dead cylinders. it wont run for shit. the dealership didnt tighten the valvecover down all the way and it was blowing oil by the loose bolt. so now i have a car that is a week old today and dont run for shit. literally doesnt want to start. and when it does it barely runs. anyone else heard of these probs with the rsx or new si??? :mad: i am pissed. and the guys at the dealership in the springs are like oh yeah thats ur fault ur gonna have to pay for it. and the guys in denver are like hey no problem warranty work. those guys in denver are the shit.. the guys in the springs are fucked. anyways whats up anyone heard about these problems.....????

You might want to go to Flatirons Acura in Boulder (on Arapahoe). They've always had excellent service for me, and absolutely no problems with warranty work (they even covered something when my car was 2000 miles out of warranty). They'll also change your oil, top off your fluids, and wash your car for $23. Some of their other prices can be a bit high, but their service is still excellent. I definately recommend them. :)

actually the guys at denver have been really great. and they said u know bring it back to us tomorrow. but i dont even know if i can get it there it soundslike its only runnin on 2 cylinders.. i dont wanna mess it up more on the way.....:mad:

You should take that car back to where you bought it and demand a new one!

Why not just let honda do their warranty work and provide you a new motor? I mean a car thats a week old? I'd take it back to them and shove it where the sun don't shine, and demand a new car.

Yea, what he said. A week old? That is rediculous man, you shouldn't even be hassling with that.

On a side note, I can vouch for Flatirons Acura also. I bought my car there and their service department rules. They've never hassled me for any of my mods or this or that that I've done to my car. They have even suggested getting other aftermarket parts to compliment stuff that I already had :D

Anyways, good luck with that RSX.

Damn david, I didnt even know that you got it back...and Its broke again!? thats some bullshit. I say let them try to fix it one more time then lemon it. Bradin said that you have to take it back 3 times to let them try to fix it, then 1 time for manufacturer.

yeah so check this out. honda of america calls me last night to ask me if i was satisfied with my purchase!:o so i told all about the dealership here and their crooked ways. dont get me wrong i delt with a few good guys there but as a whole the place is kinda crooked. so she takes all these notes and has me rate all the people there. and i rated them as i seen them. some good most bad. so she says well i will try to get to the bottom of this sir. i was like whatever i just want my car runnin again.....
so move to today. guess who calls twice in a 5 min span when i had my phone off one of them an urgent message! so i call them and they were like man i hear u got probs with ur car u need to bring it in asap! we got a loaner here for u and all. i was like whatever ima tow it to denver to get it fixed. and they were like naw we can do it for u here i will put my best guy on it for u. i was like yeah ok whatever. so i waited 4 hours today for acura roadside assistance. so i get my car there and they give me a loaner and they keep drillin me like i did the shit to the car. im like yeah whatever u know i told u how it happened. anyways i leave for germany monday and i hope its fixed when i get back on the 24th. but thanks for the advice. i really like the one i got, i just want it to run!!!!!!!!!!
