Sell stuff for the Chrysler 2.4l

My friend has a PT Cruiser with the 2.4, and the new Neon SRT-4 is going to have a turbocharged version of the 2.4. I'd recommend trying to get some parts for that motor, as it will be used in a lot of upcoming cars from Mopar. Just the usual stuff, exhaust, intake, chip, header, nothing too crazy.

Just a thought.

I thought this engine was somehow loosely based on the motor that is in the nean already which is loosely based on the newer eclipse engines... Would this mean that he could get DSM turbo stuff that would fit? Any of the DSM guys know?

no, the 420a that is in the eclipse is different from the 420 which is in the Neon in that it has lower CR and a different head design. Both of those cars have a 2.0L in it, and the SRT will be a 2.4L. Im guessing that they are either taking a mexican stratus 2.4 turbo engine and modifying it, or building a new engine all together. I also dont think that parts will fit from the new SRT engine cause the PTs engine bay is pretty cramped, but you never know.

My friend with the PT is about to buy some Motegi 17"s, a JET chip, a 75 shot of NOS, to go with his Borla header, Airaid intake, and magnaflow exhaust. As for the new Neon, yes it will use the same base 150hp motor as the PT's currently have, the 2.4l. The turbo that will go on the SRT4 would be awesome in a PT, but you are right ,working on that PT is a pain in the ass because the engine bay is so little.
