Guess which auto maker built the following 1998 model year automobile...

From the factory, this vehicle has:

- three out of four catalytic convertor bolts cross-threaded
- missing one of two exhaust to block brace bolts
- missing steering rack heat shield
- wrong length tie rod boots (too long, so it's "normal" for them to be all bunched up and crooked in spots, causing them to eventually rip)
- excessive crush-bends in exhaust for a section that goes straight
- no anti-corrosive devices on battery terminals, leading to excessive corrosion
- God only knows what else

It's ok... it gets me around. The quality of the factory's work is just disappointing. I didn't buy it new, but I know the original owner and have known the car since it was new.

Has to be Ford

I have friend at work he used to work for them in 70's when all the so called classic good cars where coming out and he says on any given day in the factory half of the guys where stoned or drunk, and that was the GOOD old days.
