Hi,

Can anyone recommend a shop that would be able to repair a cracked b16 block? It's got a crack on the top and the bottom of the oil pressure sensor housing, due to a steel t-fitting that was screwed in one too many times. The t-fitting had the proper BSP threads too, but in hindsight, I guess a steel fitting always wins against an aluminum block.

Thanks!
Jay

wow i would have expected it to just strip it out rather than crack it.

anyways im guessing your options are:
1) having it welded, and re-tap the threads,
2) JB weld, its ghetto but would prbably work.
3) get a new block.

Anyone use Alvin's Lab Metal? I'm finding it much better than JB for aluminum repairs.
