Ok, so the seals that go in the tranny to seal the axle.. how far in are they supposed to go? I replaced mine and you can push them in pretty far, but they hit the spider gear on the inside. It's like there's nothing to stop it from going in too far. Anyone have some input on this?

Umm, yeah... they don't go in that far. I've never had any issue with them not stopping once they were in place.

Really? That's freaking strange. Maybe Honda gave me the wrong seals last time. I'll double check the one's I just bought.

Should go in flush with the tranny.

Yeah, I replaced them again. The problem with those things is that they can go PAST where they are supposed to stop at. Whoops... learned from my mistake. :)

you can recess them a little.. it wont hurt it.. but if you go too far then they ruin the seal edge and leak again...:)

Basically, when you go to put the new ones in, there isn't anything to stop the seal from going too far into the tranny so essentially it can go too far into the tranny and sit on the spyder gears on the inside, which will chew up the seal and make it leak. So basically when you go to put the new seal(s) in, just put it in far enough so the seal is flush with the edge of the axle holes.
