Need help...

So my girls car died while it was running. The car will not turn over. Battery and alt are fine, radio comes on etc. If it is some solenoid or the starter why did it die while it was running? Haven't had a chance to look at it yet. Any ideas would be great. It's a 99 or 00 Neon

sometimes solenoids or the plunger sets on starters fail due to heat while driving, but I'm not sure if this is a common neon problem. Did you try rapping on the starter/solenoid with a hammer (lightly!) or check the battery cables, ground especially

It could possibly be something with the ignition but i'm having a hard time believing the starter and something in the ignition system died at the same exact time.

Apparently the dealership told her it was the line harness? Any truth to that?

line harness to the ecu?? could be. i paid to get my ecu re-wired from the fuel pump or sumpthin cuz it wouldnt start but that was at a stop sign that it died at
