well all shops are closed by now so i just thought i would ask. i got cut off on the highway and rearended this suburban. suburban > civic... the suburban was untouched but my car is pretty effed up now. hood, bumper, bumper support, both headlights are broken, radiator support is also bent. magically somehow my intercooler came out unscathed. but anyways. about how big of a hit to the wallet am i looking at to replace all this? also can anyone make any recomendations of shops that i should visit? thanks for your help in advance

Check that out. Without looking at the car no one can give you a reasonable guess as to cost.

Give JD at the Collision Center a call... he did my hood and I was very happy with the job he did. He's the manager and is a really cool guy.

Bumper support $100, radiator support $150, Bumper $125, Hood $150, Head lights $300, painting all to match current paint $750+, Shipping $300-$500 depending on service and time. So $2000 and up is my guess.

Go to a junkyard and find the parts yourself.

That is FAR from totalled. Hood, bumper, support. Depending on the year of your Civic, it might be totalled in the insurance's eyes... but if you do the buy back option, you will get most the money you need to get it fixed.

Definitely do some research on pushing insurance companies. That's how I did it with my Prelude. They wanted to total it, take it, and give me $1200. 4 weeks of work and I got $4xxx out of it.

i would highly recomend centennial collision center. i use to work there but left becuase i couldnt get along with a manager that doesnt work there anymore. they do all of the repairs for ralph schomp bmw/honda and kuni lexus.

It's for sure easily repairable, it just depends on the year. I take that back anyway. Even if you RBO with insurance they still give you a salvage title.

Stu, this is a half question half statement. Isn't it possible, after inspections and receipts of repair, to have it considered as a rebuilt title of some sort (where it is not salvaged?)

Not that I know of. Once insurance totals a car it gets a salvaged title. You can still insure it if it was something like this that isn't serious damage (i.e. frame damage) you just might need to provide the insurance company with some before and after photos/estimates so they can be sure that it's okay now.

$1,500 is less than I thought, that's a pretty good price. I was thinking closer to $3,000.

Thats funny you should ask about a carbonfiber hood I just placed an ad in the sale section. its the "monster style" carbonfiber on both sides super high quality. I bought it for $650 but i'll let it go for $350.
