'97 Legacy issue w/spark plugs and wires

Here we go again...

Last week we replaced the spark plugs on our wagon and 2 of the rubber boots from the wires broke off onto the spark plugs. We finally managed to fish them out.

We went ahead and got new wires and went ahead and put them on today. We made sure to match the lengths and put them back on the correct way. The car started and then died after a few seconds, and then we started it and it died again... now the car is dead and when you try to start it, it just clicks...

Does anyone know what might be wrong?!?!

no, just one click when you turn the key and that's it.

we found out what was wrong, the car now needs a new battery... we jumped it and it starts fine.

Did you buy another $15 set of spark plug wires so that you can enjoy them breaking again next time. ;) Good to hear you got it all fixed up.

the wires were $26 from Burt Subaru... the car runs fine now, it just needs a new battery. :)
