We want to put new antifreeze into our '97 subaru wagon. Does this require a lot of work and hassle? From what I understand, it's as easy as draining the old fluid from the radiator by removing the plug from the bottom of the radiator. Also, does the complete system need to be flushed?

It seems simple, but there are a lot of things that seem simple and then turn out to be a pain in the ass.

Drain the block if it has a plug and radiator. Or pay a good shop to flush it with a machine. It normally costs about $50.
