I recently had a b18c jdm gsr engine put in my 1990 honda civic SI. I'm geting a c.e.l. with code 43 (Fuel supply line). I was thinking about trying to replace the o2 sensor but im looking for any advice. I beleive the ecu is the OBD1 p72 and Tobi did the swap so im pretty sure it was done right.
If anyone has any information or things to try, i would greatly appreciate it.
thx

I've had the pgmfi relay and an o2 sensor cause that code before...
how often does it code up?
does it have any issues with running/starting?
more info might help
If Tobi did the swap, you should have him take care of it for you.

car still runs ok, i tried putting a different used o2 sensor in it, didnt make any diff, so i put the original back in and now im getting a code 6 (water temp sensor). I;m really confused and gettn frustrated. I would take it back to tobi but if its not somthin he did i wont have the money to pay for more stuff... what should i do?

if Tobi did the install ask him... It doesnt hurt to ask. I don't know what kind of warantees he offers... but he might just take care of it.

I did "some" of the install, the engine was bought somewhere else and the installation was attempted by someone else. There was never any warranty stated or implied on a deal like this one. Sorry.
Is your car overheating at all?

just unplug the battery for a few seconds.
Or if you don't want to lose all your radio settings, you can just unplug the ECU for a few.

Or the clock fuse (on some models), even easier.

I normally reset my ecu by bashing it with a big hammer. The CEL never comes on again!

That's a good one.. I just did that to my multimeter the other day.. it cost me 1 hr pay and 3 hrs work.. well cuz it went stupid and didnt work right..I used a BFH and bought a new dvom.. problem solved..
Really if you need to reset the codes stored...just remove the hazzard fuse under hood fuse box for 30 secs... and bingo!
