Got a new part today!!!

Yesteday I finally got my GFB Hybrid DV/BOV and I installed it this morning. It was a PITA!!! to get the factory hose clamps off and it took my like 45 minutes to do that. I didn't get to mess with the adjustment yet, but the first time I shifted when going down Bowles I got the biggest smile on my face! It's a great product, and the thing is HUGE! Here's a picture:

I'll put some pictures on my car soon, and maybe a sound clip. I can tell the difference. It holds the boost much better with a little bit crisper throttle response!

Looks awsome...does it sound like a bov? it sure looks like one. I changed my dv so that the hoses switch around and it now sounds alot more like a bov. Are you going to club clash tomorrow?

It sounds like a mix between a SSQ and a really cool wastegate. It has kind of an erie flutter to it. When you fun more boost, it doesn't flutter as much, but I like it! I think the reason why is that the valves are factory tested up to like 100lbs of boost!!! So the more boost, the more the valve will open up

How much does one of those run? Where do you get them? Wgho Makes them? Sorry for all the questions, i've been out of the VW scene for 3 years so I ahve a lot of catching up to do.

I highly recomend this part! You can get this one from www.ndauto.com. They kick ass! You can get a Forge from there too, but I wanted a little more sound. I'll post a clip up tonight of it! It definately holds the boost better, and has a kick ass sound! The stock VW DV is crap made out of plastic...

Tyler, do you have your old DV still?? I want one for when I go in for Warranty repairs, and I'm not sure how they feel about this one, even though it returns most of the boost to the MAF

the 02 dv seem to hold boost better than the 01's but if you upgrade anything its not a bad idea to get a better one
