I got the D16Z6 from Butch about a week ago and on the way home from his shop I broke down on I-25 with what I thought was a spun rod-bearing...........anyways I got home and took apart the new engine and prepped it for new parts.....just yesterday I took out the engine from my car and found out that it was 3 spun rod-bearings that caused the mishap. It seems that a large chunck of something got stuck in the intake for the oil pump and covered up the entire filter not allowing enough oil. Also the number one piston had a semi-broken ring landing in between the oil ring and the middle scraper ring and then again inbetween the scraper and the compression ring. Right now I am waiting on a crankshaft.......in the mean time I am cleaning every part of the engine so it will sparkle and shine.
