Lancer vs Project WRX?

Anyone else read that article in sport compact car this month? (july) I really want a Lancer now!!! They smacked their project WRX around in every test...but they werent really happy with how the lancer performed on the drag strip?!? :( Ah well..they still got some pretty nice times out of it.. Hopefully mistu wont totally jack that car up when they bring it over here...guess we'll see..because I want one! :)

The J spec Lancer can turn the 1/4 in at least the 13 flat range but I think the clutch was limiting them to getting a solid launch. When the Lancer does finally get here it will have about 250hp and weigh a little more due to US safety upgrades.
Also they're gonna go for around $32k if the dealers don't add any "special" pricing.

that article was VERY lop sided, that WRX was underpowered by almost 50hp, it was sporting the "tiny" stock turbo (TD04L) The Lancer has a Titanium Garrett, and a front mount...........unfair comparison if you ask me!! The Lancer is more on the lines of the STI...and I would take the STI anyday over the Lancer.
