At this point, my intercooler piping blew off, so I turned the car off thinking I did something more serious.

MPH: 99.19 -- note the low mph, on my 13.091 time, my trap speed was 107 something, so obiously, the potential is there for a faster time.

I think around 10 psi, but the thing is the vacuum line on my boost gauge could only reach to where the coin tray is, so I have to kinda look for it, I was too concerned about shifting to do it, so I'll probably find out on Friday...

Hey I saw you up there last Wensday when you were in the low 14's high 13's. I was just curious. Was the only difference between that time and this time was the slicks and launching techniques?

If so then DAMN I need some practice :). I have AWD and my best launch to date is a measly 1.93 60' ... sigh [heh].

Well, I added race gas so I could turn the boost up a bit, I think its at 10psi, but it's hard to read my gauge, it's by my coin tray. But yeah, launching on slicks is the best feeling ever, especially a 1.8 60'. Um, Yeah, on street tires, I probably launched at 3500rpm, where as on slicks it's around 7000rpm, which it hooks up in first and spins a little but then you IMEDIATLY have to shift into 2nd before hitting the rev limiter. I'm just as suprised at getting such a quality time, especially not even having a limited slip diferential.

It looks like I'm just under the cut to race in high school drags-- you have to be 19 and under and I turn 20 this coming June 15th. haha, think I should run???

nice run last night, i saw it. you launched like a motha fucka. Are you scared of snaping your axle? A friend of mine with a t-60 turbo on his jetta snaped his axle with drag slicks. I was going to use them at hs drags but i don't want to snap an axle. Can you just go up there the day of hs drags to register?

Bandimere's web site says it's just pay at the gate, and they open at 8:00am, and time trials start at the same time. Maybe I'll get up there at like 7:00am or something and wait an hour, so I don't have to have such a long wait in Tech. Then maybe I could change over to my slicks at the gate as well.

I stripped an axel out last year, but it really hasn't been too much trouble so far. I guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed.
