I've been casually looking around for these, and they don't seem to be easy to find. This is just kind of a feeler, but I want one of these:

Must be 5-speed, color isn't really a big deal, and I don't really want a VR6 unless the price is right.

I'm looking to spend around $3000 or so, hopefully less

So, if anyone's got one, or seen one at a dealership, or whatever.. lemme know!

If you wanna spend about $17k more I know of a sweet ass one that's mildly built. ;)

Edit: Forgot to mention, his is a MKIV.

there is a dealership on Pecos and 64th-ish (Its one of those small mom/pop ones) that has 2 or 3 of them on their lot. One is yellow, one black, and I can't remember the other. They look to be in OK condition...BTW you are looking for a 93-98 GTI, they didn't make a 2 door golf in those years IIRC.

I've seen a few on Ebay and Cars.com called the Golf III Sport.. Probably were only made 95 and prior, just guessin.. anyway thanks, I'll definitely check that out, if they're 2-doors :)

I could just drop $24,000 more and get a brand new one :fu:

Update...I drove by there today, and didn't see either of them, but it was pouring rain, so they may be there still....good luck! They are fun cars! My girl has a 95 Golf, and it's a pretty solid car with just little upgrades/suspension!!

There was a place there with a pretty decent Jetta GT for sale, but uh.. after dealership hunting I think saving up for private party is the winning idea here.
