I was gonna register for that show ,but can't decide now as there is a local show that day too. There is a decent size one at the Tamarac Square theaters Saturday in promotion of the new Fast and Furious movie. I know it actually starts on friday, but they are doing a how for it on Saturday right outside the theaters.
Decisions,decisions.........uggggh!

I am the promoter for this event and I hope to see you at our show, but if you attend the other I wish you luck. Our show does benefit charity though and the other does not:biggthump

Actually I got a bunch of tickets for the advanced screening of the New Tokyo Drift Movie for tomorrow(tuesday night) at I-25 and Colorado @ 7:00p.m. so I might still makie the westminster show. I am just not sure about which is really giving a better chance to have my car appreciated as the Westy show will probably have100,000dollar cars there. I might have a better chance at winning something with my measly 15,000dollars in improvements at the local show. I don't know...I have a few days to figure it out I guess depending on which ones my club and local shop roll to. I tend to go to the shows with the guys from 5280 Autosports so I will see what they are doing.
Thanks for the wish of luck though!!!

I attended the event,it was put on by Team Showcase, and unfortunately most of the trophies went to......Team Showcase!!!
A bit of advice, when you put on a show, your clubs cars should NOT enter, they should just be there for eye candy or else people might lose interest in your events thinking they are .....rigged maybe toward your club winning!??!!? Plus you had enough left over trophies that you should have had 3rd place classes instead of just 1st and second that went to TEAM SHOWCASE...lol....just an observation!...lol

Thank you for the advice! The reason I did not add a third place is the trophies already had the classes on them, otherwise I would have done that. Team Showcase did not hold this show. Team Showcase was the headliner for the show. The show was held by Wish For Life Foundation, and I am personally a part of that organization. This is why you may have seen myself, a Team Showcase member, talking to the judges, the dj, etc. I would like to thank you for attending our event though. Between you and the others that showed at our event, we raised just over $2000 for Wish For Life Foundation.

Team SWhowcase may not have held the show, but it WAS there name/logo prominenetly displayed on the flyers, etc so most people will/did think they were winnning all there own awards which will make it hard to throw another show like that one regardless of where the proceeds go. The judging was slightly skewed as well in the eyes of at least 5 of the other competitors I spoke with and 2 of them had trophies and thought the judging went wrong.
But I am glad it worked out for you and the charity. I got there after judging and paid my 50.00 anyway so I'm glad it went to a good cause at least.
