View Full Version : Impala SS goes down.

Well heading over to the movie theather I came across a nice looking black Impala SS. He reved up a bit at the light to let me know he wants to murder my hatch. Well all he got was a beaten. Well not really...

First gear we are dead even till I hit about 7k and pull a bit ahead. Second gear he stays at my door. Thrid gear nobody is gaining any ground and I manage to hold him off all the way till the top of thrid up a hill! :)

I thought those Impala SS's where faster than my tourqeless wonder...I thought he would defintaly beat me up a hill.

The guy that works at the shop that is putting Earnest's T-trim SC on has a Impala SS with a T-trim pushing 17lbs. He also has a nitrous kit on there, but i guess hes never used it.
I only met him once, but his car is really clean and bad ass.

I knw the impala you guys are talking sbout, well the new boosted one at least.

I thought this guy was the supercharged one at first because he past steve and I going about 100.

The second time ted raced him from the stop light I was behind the impala. I was feathering teh throttle while they were racing so I wouldn't run into him, then I shot next to him and blew by him. Must have felt bad to lose to a hatchback on your right, and get blown away on your left by a car that came from behind you :)

Damn man....Im my opinion thats just a stupid thing to do...If you want to swerve all over the road, do it where other cars arent at like a autocross track. On day youll unlucky and hit someone or get hit. You shouldnt drive like a maniac in traffic.

Keeping the old stang, I don't think I could live with myself if I sold it. So I better find a way to buy a new one without selling the 69.;RoCkOn;

Plus they just came out with some new parts that I need to get into the 12s and still be N/A. That would be cool:gapteeth:

I have notheing but respect for any fast domestic. If my car can even keep up i'm happy :)

what are your et's 69' stang?
also curious what are your 60' times like with 500+ torque?

My best ET is 13.00, my best 60' is 1.8.

I think I could have hit a 12 last year but I let off to win the race.

That run was a 13.4 @ 94mph. My other runs at that time were @104mph. So who knows. I am thinking of getting some new heads that would greatly increase my HP. But $1800 is a lot of money these days...
