As the saying goes... no matter what, somebody will always be faster.

I go to a movie w/ a girl-friend of mine. After coming back home at 12:50, I decide to go back up to Taco Bell to see if anyone is still around, one guy that I sorta know was there but said some others were at the near-by Texaco. On my trip between the 2 (about 1/2 mile) I see two harmless, yet clean looking Volkswagens.

I want to say one was a white '89 VW GTI, very nice looking, the other a '90 GTI but a blueish silverish color. We finally catch a light after seeing some other people pulled over for racing. I'm thinking that I don't even need to launch, it's probably the 2.0L 16V. Launch, we hang even, I'm bogging at mid-range, and a bit at high and then he slowly walks me as I hear his turbo spooling still. ......... Stunning. .......... Turns out after a long chat, he's a 2.8L VR6 w/ Turbo. That explains a lot. His friend? 2.8 VR6 Supercharged. How convenient. But lots of respect is due to his car, that was extremely impressive. I can't imagine the HP potential.
Sweet car

Nope, but I'm sure I'll see them next week, and I'll say something. They need to know about it for sure.

I'm not quite sure, when we lined up I was pretty disinterested, thinking it was the 1.8L 16V. I was working the night of fire and thunder at Bandimere doing Parking stuff, and I guess the guy that was in the passenger seat that night works for my valet company. We talked breifly about it, but he's tall and blonde, not quite sure of his name, but oh well. I'd imagine there's not too many cars like it, especially the turbo part, around here, so it must be him. On the lighter side of things, I tried to go out to the Aurora races tonight.... As soon as I got there everyone was running away, so on I-70, I beat this Buick Grand National Turbo... he looked mean w/ traction bars and huge tires, but the 4th gear special did it's magic.

The vr6 turbo is rediculous...400+ to the wheels. I can't wait till he goes to the track, i think he will put 12's on the board easy. I road in it on friday night and if was prob. the fastest car i have ever been in. It went 0-100 in like 7 sec. It doesn't have white wheels. at has 15 inch vw wheels....the other gti is a 95 and it's pretty sick also. He told me about the race on sunday and he said you guys had to slow down once he hit 3rd because of a huge curve in the road.

Yeah, that's what I hear. That's a LOT of HP for a 2400lb car... But we both lined up thinking "Oh, this guy's car is probably not that quick", so neither of us launch it, then SUPRISE! Turbo in both of 'em. Yeah, he should run 12's no problem. I'd estimate my WHP at around 240-250, and right now it weighs 2365. With that, on street tires, I hit my 13.919 @ 101.48, so imagine 150 more whp....
