View Full Version : Question????
I recently lowered my 02 RSX and i used Skunk2 springs but after they were installed the car ended up lower in the back and higher in the front. I have asked a few people why this happened, some told me because of the quality of the springs and that i should of gone with some TEIN springs, some said because i need new struts? so does anyome know why that happened?

tein springs aren't what I'd call high quality. you could end up with the same story. personally I'd say eibach. I've done two cars with them without any problems like that. I've done a car with tein's and it was low as hell...too low for my taste. now tein coilovers are a different story. if you get an adjustable coilover you can control how high or low the car is. some companies springs lowere the back or the front more than the other. I couldnt find any specific measurements for the skunk2 springs though.

are you sure you put front on the front and the rear on the rear?

they cant be installed wrong on that car. Er, if they could I would like to see how it was done anyway. Give the car a month or so to settle and recheck the ride height. I have had some of the skunk2s take a little time to settle in. If they are still off, call the place you bought them and see if they cant get you a new set. The last set of them I installed looked fine.

XLR8 is one of my friends, he doesn't have anything in the back that would wheigh it down and he got them installed at Trenz.

Check the model number on the springs. It's possible they installed a set for some other car. One of my old neighbors in the hood put springs in wrong on his 93 Civic. The front ended being tucked in and the rear lifted.
