Edged out a SC Integra and more.

My friend has a JRSC LS Integra. It used to be an automatic but he just swaped in a 5 spd GSR tranny. So me and a couple of friends decided to go out racing after the AV's game. Go Avalnache!! Neways. we pull up to the light and wait for it to turn green and he pulled out by a nose off the lanuch. It stayed that way till he shifted into second then we came about even and I slowly pulled on him all the way up to 100 where he was about at my back bumper. I also raced my buddys WRX again, this time from a roll, i had the momentum and actually pulled a bit on him until we ran into traffic.

The integra and the WRX also raced twice and the first time the Integra misshifted and the second time he lost by a car or two. It was a pretty fun night.

Do WRX's die out at high speeds? I was really surprised that I beat him even though I had a bit more momentum.

wrx's as do all awd vehicles have increased drivetrain power loss.
this makes it a bit slower from a roll than if it were using the same amount of power to drive 2 wheels.
Also, turbocharged cars that build boost down low have alot more power on hand in the lower rpm ranges.
example, My car makes all of its power prior to 6000 rpm my redline is 7500 I would just slow myself down in the 1320 by exceeding 6000 rpm's.
