Yah I remember talking to you for just a little bit, but my line started moving. I saw a couple of your runs too.. All I have to say is this guy KNOWS how to drive his car. HE can SHIFT VERY fast!! In fact I don't remember or not but he might of even been power shifting full on... I know there was someone there that was doing that.
Good runs though!! I was the guy in the black WRX you got confused with another guy initially

Oh, hi David! :) Yeah, that was me. And yes, I was power shifting the whole way. Thanks for the compliments! :D

anyone that wants the most out of their car shifts with full throttle. there is NO other way to drive a manual.

I personally wouldn't be worried about the engine going boom... but the tranny sure wouldn't like it ... at least on my WRX. Then again maybe it wouldn't mind but I don't have the "insurance to replace it" money right now so... no power shifting for me :(.

You guys actually do this? And how many 10ths of a second do you think it increases your time? Just curious, as I just discovered it tonight, and although it's pretty fun, I wouldn't want to do it all the time.

I never have and I never will powershift my car. Honda trannies are too expensive to ruin....

Not worth replacing my tranny to power shift

depends, on my 5.0 it is worth about a half second, on a turbo car it can be much more. my Z it is worth about 8 tenths and more as lift throttle shifts is the ONLY time my tranny grinds.

Sweet times!!! Your car rocks for those mods. It would be scary with some head work...
