When the last owner had the T-belt changed they didnt do the balance shaft belt:( . It was pretty much dissintegrated, and im guessing that a big chunk go in the T-belt and forced it loose. The Tensioner pulley was pulled way off from where i remember setting it.
Heres a list of everything im gonna replace.
-8 Intake Valves.
-Balance Shaft belt
-Head Gasket (again)

Everything else is in good condition cause i just rebuilt it 3000 miles ago.
Wheres a good place to get the valves for a good price? Im gonna call conicelli and check with them, but does anyone know of any other places to check?

I think Conicelli is your best bet.

Call Terry at Western Engine Supply... they do a good job and have good prices.

You can NOT just slap new valves in an old head... they will leak.

Well, i wouldnt just slap new valves on an old head...but i just rebuilt this about 3k miles ago.
Im not gonna waste my money and let someone else do it when its a cake job for me. The head is off the car and took about 3 hours cause i was BSing with Braden... Im just gonna call conicelli cause he's helped me out a few times before.

It doesn't matter how "old" the head is.

The valves must be cut to match the valve seat, and (IMO) lapped to ensure proper sealing.

Also, bent valves usually damage the valve guides (which must be pressed in and out).

good luck man!! Any idea on a timeline to get it back running again? Are you going to sell it now or not? Just curious. I keep seeing it outside at Suby Sports.

how extensive was the damage to the engine?
is there damage to the pistons where they hit the valves?

:( ........lol

The intake side jumped maybe 2-3 teeth...If you look at the valves you cant tell that they hit, but there are some marks on the pistons that are pretty new that came from the intake side. Im not to worried about it. If it leaks a little oh well, im probably gonna sell it anyways after i find an awd. I dont feel like spending the money on it if im not gonna keep it.

But like i said it had barely any contact, just enough for me to replace the valves.
