Yeah, that mustang was just a bit faster than a 13 second car, the civic was probably a 12 second car and the Mustang was pacing him, not even gunning it.
With all the bad imports that have gone up there, we should put our collective minds together. We have a couple of shop owners on this site, build a kick ass import, they get to market their shops by putting their name on it (tax write off). My understanding is this, when you say you want to be on the show, you tell them a rough time of what your car is running, so that they can match you up with a car that is close to equal. So, say I have a 10 second Geo Metro, they will try to match me up with a 6 or 7 second domestic.

as for my best last season was a 12.6 with a 127 trap, and i have done some more upgrades this year so we will see. and yes i would have to agree even if i was running a 9 sec street car i would also not put it on the show.

When was the last time you were at the track? i would agree if i had a true low 10 to high 9 second street car then i wouldn't want tot put it on the line. and yes the more HP the more problems with driveline parts. i won't argue that, what i was defending was that you made it sound like since you own a DSM that it's better then even a faster honda or any honda for that matter. SHEPracing is the only one who has truely built a dsm AWD tranny that can hold alot of power form launching, when anyone gets to that level
it's something that come wih the territory, dragsters and funny car on the same level as skunk is in they're class rebuild their engines almost evry run,
it's part of the rutine. dsm's with AWD are less likely to snap an axle because it's giving power to 4 instead of 2 wheels, and honda stock splines are really small and i hate dealing with it but it's part of racing an import.
i grew up racing gm big and small blocks running SC's and N2o RWD monsters, i swear the DSM HONDA reminds me of ford vs. chevy,lol

and yes it would unless the tires are spin in 1,2 gear. thats the whole point and one of the mods i did this year is a 2 step boost controll. lower boost out the hole and then trun it up. and mind you this is all with street tires not slicks or DOT drags. anyways iam done with this thread maybe this year i will jet up to bandi and let you guys see (black GSX stock looking other then wheels) in the end some are fast some are not there is ALWAYS someone faster to everyone with a fart can, airfilter that think they are fast get a life and learn somthing about your car and instead of buy stickers or lights go get some really parts then you can open your mouth. to all of you with quick cars hondas, DSM, toys, whatever you drive remenber you are never to fast you can always be faster and keep it up. peace
