Just wondering how many people are going to go see this movie.
Personally, I refuse to see it
I dont mean to sound like a stupid conspiracy believer, but the truth is that no living person knows what really happened on that plane, and by some making a movie about it, I cant help but wonder if the government is involved somehow in an attempt to sort of 'brainwash' the public into believing this is how it happened and thus shaping our memories and history into a more favorable version of events
How does everyone else feel?

i think its stupid they made a movie about it. you could just watch the other 500 already made for tlc, discovery,a&e, ect.
I think it's stupid that there are people trying to make money at the expense of other American's lives.. given they did the same for Titanic, Pearl Harbor, etc... but I still think those were stupid Hollywood flicks as well. I'm sure I'll watch it, but there's no way I will pay to see it. Only way I'll watch it is if I download it off the internet or somehow view it for free.
I agree also that it's BS that they don't know exactley what happened on the plane and are trying to portray it in a film. Welcome to Hollywood, I suppose.

At least with the Titanic, Pearl Harbor and some other movies there are or were survivors/witnesses that were available to help with accuracy. In this case there are none.
Also, I believe that in the case of a tragedy, movie producers should at least wait untill the effected generations have passed before making a movie about it. To me its rude to make a movie of that nature while those effected are still alive, especially when the movie will have such strong obvious tones of propaganda and blatent fabrication for the sake of a good blockbuster
Word. They had this debate on Alice 105.9 a couple weeks ago.. I called in and gave my $.02

guess i missed the debate
what were your $.02
Pretty much what I said in my post above.. that I think it's retarded they're trying to make a buck off an American tragedy, given they've done it with all the others. Also that I think it's far too soon for this. The Holocaust was what, 80+ years after? Pearl Harbor was 70+ years? Titanic 90+ years? This is going on 5 years is all... it's way too soon. One of the DJ's on Alice said he was in the theatres and the preview came on.. said some people LEFT because of it, said you could hear a pin drop.. and after the preview supposidly people started chanting "TOO SOON! TOO SOON! TOO SOON!".
I also hate to be a conspiracy theorist but anyone tried to use a cell phone on a plane at altitude? It doesn't work. There's some study some guy did with like hundreds of test calls and like 1% if that worked. I'm going from memory but it was pretty overwhelming.
Somehow all these people made phone calls to people?
Also, something else that was brought up, tapes of the calls showed people said things like, "Mom, this is 'Firstname Lastname'" Who says their last name when talking to friends/family?
So, I don't believe the government is behind it, and who knows what the explinations are, but I'm curious about the phone calls.
Nate - good points. They point out lots of interesting arguments in the 9/11 Conspiracy video.. like the building falling as though a demo team had set it up. Hmmm..

I watched that Loose Change: 9/11 Conspiracy movie when it first came out, and i recently just watched the second edition, and although im not totally convinced by it, i do believe it had some really good points. Although I am certain there is an overwhelming ammount of information that our government is witholding from us.
They have a new one out? A link would be appreciated... :)

i wouldn't spend money at a movie theater in the first place... i will wait for it to come out on PPV and i can watch it for free...
about them making the movie when there are no survivors... i agree it's totally fucked up... they make it seem like those passangers are fucking heros... they are dead... the govt is behind it, they are going to kill the president next...

I'd never go see the movie...
And also the movie no matter how good or bad could produce the sense of what really happened as the real thing...
(not for the faint of heart)
